My protection light is on as well. I have the service manual in pdf and i'm a damn good solderer, but I don't know where to begin. Mine clicks also and the red led stays on, but none of the green led's light ever, my board has been worked on before (someone left flux all over the bottom of the board, ewwww) I've seen some cold solder joints near where the lamps plug in the board, but thats about as far as my experties let me go. Any suggestions. P.S. watchout! those damn capacitors will make sure you're awake  |

| I have a HITACHI rear projection TV, chasis # AP53D. This tv set is dead. At first, the red diode on the PWCB was on, I can hear a click every time I attempted to turn it on. I replaced I901 and now the red diode doesn't come on at all, but the tv set is still dead and the click is still heard when I try to turn the tv on. Measured voltage on pin 5 of I901 is approx. 52 volts. None of the three main fuses are blown. Can any body give me an idea of what's causing this problem? Thank you. |
