LCD screen could be "de-laminating."

I'd suggest a phaser on maximum setting. That should take care of blotch ... the TV, the wall behind it, the neighbors residence, etc. Wink

This is a wide screen LCD HDTV, bought in2006. About 2009, this screen started to slowly develop misty-looking blotches, sort of drifting in from above. Almost looked like rain-filled clouds off in the distance. They don't block the image completely, but are a definite annoyance. In the last year-or-so, these ghosty blotches sort of "merged" into one large, translucent blotch, just above the center of the screen. Looks like a big, see-thru, alien amoeba laying there. We can still watch it, but, with the annoying blotch there, we lose definition and clarity in that spot. Especially bad when the scene is dark.

I see nothing in the manual on this. Is there some way to restore the original image? A blotch-buster? An instrument for instant annihilation of an alien amoeba? Or a part I can replace? Thanks. LL
