Greetings, I am requesting help concerning an old 2003 Dell monitor as mentioned in the title of this thread. I found this monitor in a basement while doing some cleaning out for cousin. The Dell was kept in good condition and in a dry environment. It only had collected dust in the vents and on the monitor. Aside from this there appeared to be nothing wrong with the monitor. I inquired about the monitor's status. My cousin stated that the monitor's button lights would not come on and the screen would light up briefly ( aprox. 1 sec.) and then go back to blackness. I confirmed this when he gave it to me to fix. I checked the soldering on the circuit boards and I couldn't find anything wrong there. I also heard that this type of monitor suffers from bad fuses every now and again. Though, I checked and the fuse is perfectly fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
