THank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the manual does not say much about bits value. I know for sure that the 7th bit (now set to 1) changes the behavior of the AGC of the tuner (it was set to 0 and I changed it due to some lost signal troubles following a friend's suggestion; it got MUCH better but the TV still loses signal for one second every couple of hours or so on a couple of transponders, even if signal and quality are 10/10.). So, I was wondering if the other bits could have something to do with the tuning functions as well? Hope someone can help. Cheers, Michele |

Not familiar with the set but you can get a service manual at elektrotanya.com. http://elektrotanya.com/?q=showresult&what=TX-P42G15E&kategoria=&kat2=all I thought those settings were mainly factory preset and had to do with the type of panel used---as to the meaning of the bits, may be panasonic tech support? |
