I have a problem with my Monitor. While working a bright while light appears in the centre of the screen. The screen appears blank above and below the white line. When I shake the monitor slightly it recovers temporarly. Please help me.

You probably have a poor solder connection in your vertical deflection circuits/wires. Try removing the case and poking around with an insulated probe.
