yes i did. the tv came with this problem. we acquired it from a friend. after i replaced the ic`s i noticed the resistor looked burned, and it happened to be one you told me to check. i replaced it and it worked for a couple of seconds then i smelled a burnning smell and qickly turned it off only to find the resistor had blown. so i replaced it again and the same thing happend again. so i know the new ic`s worked but the resistor keeps blowing and im not sure if the ic`s are damaged now. i just thought it would be a simple fix after researching it online but now its getting to be a project. now im determined to try and fix it as long as the cost is minimal. thanks again for your help and time.

i found out that i had purchased crappy quality ic`s from bluestaronline. i went to acme and got oem replacments for alot more but they worked the first time. lesson learned dont save a few bucks on electronic components get good quality parts. spend the extra few dollars and save your brain. now my free tv cost me roughly 100 dollars, still not bad for a 53 inch hitachi!
