Panasonic TX21AP1 - standby light but no picture

my panasonic TX21AP1 has a standby light but no picture.

be grateful if anyone could advise on what needs replacing and whether it is perhaps better to get a new television.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Standby light but no picture, what about the sound?

Normally Panasonic TVs gives an error code by blinking the LED 'x' number of times, the question I oughta ask is the tube heaters lit? if not then it's either a line or power supply fault. The first things to do is to check for bad soldered joints.
