|
|
Good morning - Yesterday afternoon my Satellite P35 LCD went on the fritz. Everything has a red tint to it. I had a spare LCD cable, so I swapped but the problem persists. The only way I can fix it is to apply pressure on top the adapter on the motherboard where the LCD cable plugs in. It works fine with an external monitor.
Does anyone have or know where to locate a maintenance manual? It is a P35-S6291.
Thanks |

Since my first post, I fixed the problem without needing a service manual. I have since repaired four P35's with the same exact issue. If anyone else has a similar problem with a Toshiba P30 or P35 series (fix maybe applicable to other models), let me know. |

I hit them with a fine point soldering iron and the problem disappeared. If you have one, remove the LCD bezel from the chassis and remove the top half of the chassis. Touch pins 14 and 15 seperately with something with a rubber handle. Does the red tint disappear? If so, there's your problem. | |
