The volume on our Proline TV refuses to turn up. When you press
volume + on the remote, the volume osd shows onscreen, but the bar is at zero and won't go up.

All other remote functions work fine.

Any help appreciated.

Hi

Finally found model number for this telly (it's my Mum's TV). It's a Proline model 28N1.

I found a 'code' on the 'net to put into service mode (minus vol on set and standby on remote then turn on) but this didn't seem to work.

Telly just has no volume and refuses to turn up with remote or button on set .

Please help!!!

Thanks

Leon

Hi, just found your posts and wondered if you could help? I have a Matsui LM20N2 lcd tv and the sound has stopped working. If you turn the volume up to max you can just about hear the sound if you put your ear to the speakers. Can you help?

Gmacbrew, the problem comes from sound amplifier circuit, maybe there's no voltage come in to amplifier circuit or maybe amplifier ic it self has damage.

Does it do it with an external source? For example, a dvd player on input 1?
