I have a Sony television Model KV35V76 where the picture is on for two seconds and off for one second.

Here are the details.
* When the TV is turn on it takes about 3 to 5 minutes for the picture to appear, then the alternations begin.
* There is a tint of pink to the picture.
* There are no problems with the sound (no pops, crackles or hisses)
* All menus functions work correctly and the PIP functions correctly.
* There is no problem with switching between modes of inputs (DVD, VHS, Cable) the problem occurs with all inputs.
* The “TV Video Out” function will drive a remote monitor, indicting that both of tuners are working.
* The “Monitor Video Out” function also drives a remote monitor correctly.
* Can not measure the 200 volts dc generated from the high voltage power supply at the C board.

I suspect the problem may lay within the high voltage power supply, the 200v dc power supply (part of the high voltage supply), or the “C” board attached to the back of the picture tube.

Does anyone have any suggestions to where I go from here?

Thanks for any help.

It sounds like you have the IK problem with your set. Check red drive
transistors for leakage. It may be the CRT. You can use a CRT
rejuvenator but DO NOT use the rejuv feature. Use clean and/or
balance. Sony CRTs don't handle rejuv very well.

do you get retrace lines when picture goes? check the rgb drives
and the associated components.

The KV35V76 is part of the KV32V36/32V36/34V36C and KV35V35/37V36M family

When the picture disappears, the CRT goes completely blank (black) then the picture returns.

The on screen information timer is reset every time the picture disappears, (channel or video input Video 1, Video 3, Video 3, time or PIP Channel info).

The “C” card, that has the R, G, B Drivers on it and is mounted on the tube socket has the following parameters

1. The 200 volt supply is measured at 208vdc and is steady.
2. The 1000 volt supply is measured at 1000vdc and is steady.
3. The 9 volt supply is measured at 8.7vdc and is steady.
4. The voltages to the CRT measured at the emitters of the R, G, B speed up circuit is between 140vdc to 160vdc when the picture is available and 208vdc when the picture is absent. This same scenario happens at the drivers also. It appears that the R, G, B drive signal is being corrupted on the “A” card the mother board.
5. Again the audio works so the dc voltages for the audio are ok.

Thanks for the help.
