|
|
Hello
I am working with a spectroniq (proton) model PLTV-3250
LCD TV. The set will not start I found a series of bad electrolytic
capacitors in the power supply along with a small
surface mount transistor, all of which I have replaced.
The front standby light is not lit. It uses an FSP194-3F01 power supply.
I have not been able to round up any service data for this unit.
And they dont appear to have a website anywhere on the net.
I need to know at what points in the supply I should be receiving
voltage and how much. There is a noise that's barely audible coming
from the top area of the set, I think its one of the boards that control
the LCD panel lights, but I'm not 100 percent sure.
Just curious if anyone has (or knows) where I can get a manual,
and help steer me in the right direction.
Thank you |

Only thing I know that it was not made by Proton---it was Protron Digital which filed for chapter 11 on 08. No idea about the manual though? |

I sent an Email to FSP (the manufacturer of the power supply)
and requested a schematic. I’ll see how cooperative they are. |

Update:
The company who makes the supply wouldn't supply a schematic.
I found a new power supply and replaced it. |

Ebay,
I was able to repair the old one.
After doing some comparison testing between the
two. I found a zener diode that was killing the 5 volt
standby voltage. It was neither shorted or open. It
originally tested good in circuit using diode check on my DMM. |
