hi
tv doesn't respond the remote control.
tv sometimes goes out (stan by).
in way service it puts error 13
tuner?
is probably???

| fault is probably the micro on the small signal panel ic7064, enter the service mode check the software version and then order the latest version. this is a very common problem. can be a pain to change as it is a 100 pin surface mount device, read the service sheet that comes with the new ic carefully BEFORE attempting to change as it will save you a lot of time. |

This fault is normally due to the painter IC on the SSB panel which can give you some very strange faults indeed, ranging from stuck in standby, no remote control functions, picture problems, switching to AV channel of it's own accord, etc.
Before you change the IC you must enter the service mode and take down all the service data so that it can be re-entered when the new IC is fitted. Pay particular attention to the option codes - these are essential for the set to work properly.
You need to be very good at SMD rework to take on this procedeure.

| I’d replace the ssb. Small signal brd. Listen to Brian and take down the values. If you need the part # Give us the model #. I know the chassis #, but model is better. |

Hi,
I have a similar problem with the TV switching off...
I need a service manual for the phillips 28PW6305/01. Can anyone supply me with a copy or let me know where I can get one?

Yeah thanx I will get the technician to llok at the micro but I need the service manual too as they do not have it.
Anyone know where I can get hold of a copy of the service manual?
No one in South Africa has a copy, not suprising since the TV was bought in Germany...
