I have one of these sets, which is not responding to AV control signals:

Firstly, it does not enter AV mode with Scart Pin 8 switching voltage.
Therefore it will not switch normal/widescreen with 6/12V on this pin.
The AV switching voltage has been followed through to pin 8 of the micro and is correct allowing for the potential divider RE11/RE12.
(Sky box widescreen control format)

Secondly, it does not respond to "picture line 23" embedded picture format control signal. (Freeview DTT widescreen control format)

Is there a sneaky service menu option to enable/disable these functions, have they just not been designed in, or have I got a faulty Micro??

My PT92 doesn't switch to AV either (very annoying). It does switch to RGB when I tell my Sky box to send RGB but I also don't get auto 4:3/16:9 switching. I would assume it wouldn't be disabled but I've never been able to get into the service menu to see.

Found your question while searchnig for a power fault on my PT92. No EHT with a high pitch chirp about every second. Any ideas?? Also if you hear of how to get into the service menu, let me know. Before it packed in (christmas eve, believe it or not) I was trying to find out how to get into the service menu to correct the 2cm shift to the left when I use RGB. Sky digital unlike most DTT boxes don't have an RGB centering option in the system setup.
