Hello All.
My youngest son waved a good-sized magnet in front of an Orion TV (model # TV1333) and now the color is all goofed up.
Any ideas on if this is repairable and/or worth the cost of repair? Any home remedies? ....not to mention a lesson learned for a curious 15 year old!!

Thanks for your help.

By doing so, the picture tube has been magnetized which is not a big deal and may be able to correct it by following;

1. Turn the TV off & leave it off for about 30 min to an hour. At cold start, the built-in auto demagnitizer will be activated & should take care of it, however depending on the magnet's strenght, you may have to do it several times or at worst case any tv repair shop should be able to demagnetize it by running a "degauser " wand around the picture tube on the outside of the set.

There is no need to get inside or internal harm. 15 Yold son is of the hook

(btw, did much worse & tore up quite a bit starting at 12) Razz
