Philips MATCH///Line Classic TV
Circa 1993,4,5??
Model 28CL6770/252
Made in Belgium
Prod. No. AG109635350721

Would like to tweak up the screen height a little, but cannot find an adjustment in either the on-screen menus, or physically on the board.

Problem, too-wide black bands at top & bottom of picture. Picture's otherwise perfect.

Is there a hidden maintenance section in the on-screen menus & if so how would one get into it; or, is there an unmarked pot on the board that could be tweaked.

Thanks for any suggestions in advance,

Not the required info but a reference to the set;

28cl677025z

25z, not 252 at the end of the model no.

Came across these tips for FL1.10 chassis;

Quote:

Picture height cannot be adjusted in 21" sets.
- Replace R3409 into 300k (4822 116 52268) on the LSP. REMARKS : Introduced in production in week 9335.

Quote:

Picture height not adjustable very well
- Change R3409 on the LSP into 270 kOhm (4822 116 52265). REMARKS : Introduced in production in week 9412

I couldn't find any option to adjust the picture height at all - so does the first tip magically cause an extra menu option to appear or something?

Or does it mean you're out of luck if your set was made before 'week 9335'...

I have or can source manuals for most common office phone systems btw, if anyone's looking to trade.

This set finally died today. Power at wall outlet, fuse in plug OK. No response from set to any attempt to turn on, just sits there like a lemon. Do these sets commonly suffer from something simple like a blown internal fuse?
