Hi everybody,
since a few days, my remote control of my television Panasonic TX-28LD2F
doesnt work anymore, I think its broken.
Now I can always change the channels working directly on the tv, but the
problem is that I have no more access on the teletext......
Would it be possible to find another remote control for this tv? I bought it in
1995 and I'm afraid I wont find no more exchange pieces
Has somebody a solution about it?
Thank you.

Hi,
Try to get an OEM made (ie. fake!) from your local stores. I got mine at S$5 in Singapore & it works perfectly!
Alternatively, try to get a universal controller... no guarantee it will work though.
Btw, what's wrong with your remote controller? Have u tried this routine?
1. remove batteries;
2. randomly press a few buttons on the controller;
3. install new batteries.
The above usually works for me.
Good luck! |

Thank you very much for your kind reply
Yes. I've tried to remove batteries and everything else....Nothing!
The problem is that this was a bad remote controller since the beginning.
I will trie to get an universal one, in the hope that it will work.
I'll try to ask in one of those big electronic shop.
Thank a lot

U r welcomed!
I'll still give your original controller a 2nd go. Most problems for controllers pertain to:
1. batteries - which u ruled out.
2. contacts - check the battery compartment for corrosion. Use a contact spray.
3. internal contacts - try to open up controller & resolder the connectors inside. Be careful! Most controllers have snap on plastic cabinets that may break if u try too hard!
4. battery leak - the corrosive liquid might have "ate into" the circuit board, destroying the tracks. U may have little luck if that happened over a large area of the board. I've tried re-soldering the tracks with little success.
My advise is NEVER use alkaline batteries on controllers! These batteries have liquid that may leak over time. Good heavy duty batteries would do. I go for Eveready, Sony or Panasonic Heavy Duty for all my controllers. They typically last more than 6mths with daily use... |
