Good Day All.

I have a Sony KV-32LS60U 32" CRT TV, I have had this TV for at least 8 years now, to date I have not had any problems with it.

Last week wile the kids where playing on the Wii I noted that the colours seemed to be out, when they had finished with the Wii I watch standard TV via a sat reciver, and you could still tell the colours where out.

But the main thing I have noted is that if the picture has anything more then say 75% of the screen white the white turns a shade of green or very rare a shade of blue.

The 1st thing I have done is to power down the TV, and remove the back cover and de dust the unit, it's never been opened since I brought it new.

This has not helped, so I have somthing braking down.

I had a good look over all the PCB's, and there are not poped caps, or burnt parts.

As I have kids this TV has spent around 8-10 hours on evey day since I brought it, so I guess I have had my money's worth out of it.

But I would like to try and get this problem sorted before it gets worse.

I am thinking it might be a problem with the LOPT, but I would like to see you toughts 1st before I start adjusting anything inside the unit.

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards.

I have just put the TV into service mode and looked at the error code screen, no errors are shown or have been logged.

But I did note that the TV has been on for 21,143 hours. Rolling Eyes

I am now just reading over the service manuals to see what is says about testing the LOPT.

See what it says about testing the CRT. With that many hours/years, it's quite likely showing its age.
