I have an Audio system Sony DHC-MDX10 that suddenly lost the sound, all functions are fine but there is no audio. I replece a resistor (fusible) R881 that blown, but it works only a few seconds and again the fuse blowns and the souns is gone.

Why don't you check diodes D907, D908, D909, D910, capcitors c906, c907 and c956 on the main board.

Hi again...

I´ve chequed that bridge and capacitors ad seems to be fine, I´ve followed the diagram from the line of the fuse, but I can not find the fault...

Do you have the schematic? What does R881 protect?

yes I have the service manual, I´ve downloaded from:

The line of the R881 fuse goes to a couple of voltage regulators tha forms lines of B+ for diferent circuits, but I can not find the relationship with te lost of sound.

here is part of the diagram that shows what R881 protect:

This is half assed I haven't fixed a stereo in years, I'd suspect one of the regulators is taking the resistor out. Seeing as resistors are cheap I'd pull IC903 out and see if it still blows the resistor, then IC901, then Q909. I'd suspect either the 12 or 7 volt regulator...

Maybe the T881 transformer is bad.

Is there an error history, error code on your unit as described on page 3 and 4 of the service manual of HCD-MDX10?
