I have the afore mentioned TV. Sounds like I am also blessed with the black screen of death. Out of warranty, called Vizio service and was refered to the ITI repair people who gave me the $500.00 repair quote over the phone . Sounds like the power supply, because unplug it and turn it on the control panel lights up but is not functional and the Vizio logo lights up and slowly dims, no sound nothing else happens. Found website vizparts.com and the parts are there. Thinking about tearing into this thing myself. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone in advance.

Check the power supply for bulged tops on the capacitors. Also Partstore has refurbished power supplies for between $100 to $200.they are on the web.

I pulled out the power supply and checked the fuse, it is good. I looked at all of the caps and none are popped nor do any look like the tops are bulging. Thanks for the response.

It still could be the power supply or the main board. It might be cheaper to find this model tv on ebay electronics with a broken screen. They also have used working boards. The power supply and main board new would be $400 to $500.

Both can be purchased from vizparts for a little over $200, which is the way I am going, and to the manual guy selling the manuals I and a lot of other people are not interested in your manuals you try to sell in everybodys posts.
