It has figured out that the warranty is up, and that it can now safely fail.
Open the set up and check the power supply board for puffed electrolytics. _________________ You're over there, I'm over here. |

One more side note , When it does finally does turn on the picture has a couple of lines off distortion fully across ot , But goes away too after it warms up . |

1st, Does it have sound too, or does the sound come on after the "warm up"?
2nd, shine a very bright flash light into the screen while it's "warming up". Can you see an image there?
Possibly a bad inverter board.

That's why we're going to have to start advertising TV's as " disposable," like BIC lighters. _________________ You're over there, I'm over here. |

Indeed, when their light is going to be permanent in "off" state it's time to
trash them.

More often than not, they are fairly easy to fix. I have resurrected a 26" Toshiba and a 32" Vizio. Total bill for both - under $15
Both work great now. If you are tossing yours, let me know! |

Your "Experienced easy fix repair" doesn't count on high mass numbers.
If you don't believe it, go to a local "Electronic Waste Recycling" and see......
or to a professional Repair Lab.
Then come Back to your "Fair easy Fix". |

This sounds like a cracked solder connection on the power supply module.
I know there are lots of solder connections but the most common will be the large semiconductors (transistors, FET's, IC's). Use a very strong magnifing glass and good lighting. Look for hairline cracks around the solder joints and resolder. I had a Samsung 42" with exactly the same problem. |
