|
|
Is it possible to adjust the 'convergence' (for want of a better word) of the colours on an LCD rear projection tv?
I have one that's taken a knocl and now the 3 colours aren't focussed on one point, causing a red/green/blue fringe around everything.
Possible? Or should I bin it? |

Sorry... it was just a general question, but if the answer is model specific, here's the details...
Samsung SP42W5HFX
(UK model)
Thanks,

THE SAMSUNG MODEL YOU MENTION IS NOT LCD PROJECTION, IT USES 3 PROJECTION CRTS, IN THE MENU IS A CONVERGENCE SUB MENU THAT WILL HELP CORRECT SOME CONVERGENCE ERRORS, IF THE ERRORS ARE SEVERE IT IS USUALLY ICZ103 OR ICZ104 THAT HAS FAILED. THESE CONVERGENCE ICS SEEM TO FAIL FREQUENTLY IN THIS MODEL OF SET SOMETIMES DAMAGING THE 3R9 RESISTORS AROUND IT. |

Gary, thanks for that.
I realised that when I looked up the model on the net!
How do I get into the service menu?
Thanks,
Geoff |
