After a thunderstorm quite a few electronics were ruined including my wireless router. Could someone please help me out. The network adapter on my wireless router no longer detects a connection. I saw that a capacitor was blown but its a surface mount capacitor with no markings. How can i replace it?

There are more damages (lots) than only the "capacitor"

Overvoltages during storm are Super DESTRUCTIVE.

Suspect "Delta Chip" faulty and more elsewhere..............

Solution: BUY NEW router, end of story.

For the future: Disconnect Before storms all Electric/electronics "Gizmos" !

Thanks for replying. The router still functions but only as a wireless local area network since it does not communicate with my modem or pc any more. none of the network slots in the back of the router work. It looks like the are connected in series. If i solve that capacitor prob i believe it will be good to go. Is that capacitor really important ?I've read somewhere that those ceramic ones act as a fuse.
You may wonder why i even bother since routers are so cheap. But where I am at all prices are inflated. i would have to pay 3 to 4 times what it costs. plus i have a lot of other expenses from stuff that got damaged including my lap top and 2 of my desktops. Any help would be appreciated.

Btw I was asleep when the storm hit so i had know idea what was going on. I awoke to a loud noise that sounded like a grenade was thrown in my house my ears were ringing.
