Hi

Need some help on fault finding.
This TV started going off focus over time.
It now has bright horizontal lines when it is turned on.
After about 30 seconds it switches the screen off & seems to go to standby mode.
There's a red blinking LED at the power switch.

This chassis may be same as the TX-32F250A.

1. What voltages should I look for? and at which points?
2. What components should I check for short or open circuits?

Cheers

It might be the GP2 chassis. Try to find out which it has. If it is the GP2, check these:

- IC880 temperature sensitive (with small black heatsink to the right of the tuner). 9V at CRT socket L2 pin 1 drops to approximately 7V, then appliance switches off.

- IC371 defective. Check resistors associated with the circuit.

- D558 is S/C and R57 is O/C.
