I need to replace two capacitors in a TV that i can see are visibly leaking,i've replaced all the other leaking ones but i can't find a match for these two :- 1500uF/25v & 470uF/6.3v. Is is OK to up the working voltage of capacitors? eg,fit a 1500uF/50v instead??Thanks for any help....... |

Voltage written on the capacitor body is maximum voltage . So it is OK to put capacitor with higher voltage vallue . Only problem is that higher voltage capacitor needs more space , but in TV set should be enough space . Bye |

For a T.V. use high temperature (105 Degrees C) capacitors. If they are in a high frequency circuit, use high frequency (Low ESR) capacitors. If they are near hot things, lean them away from the heat or mount them under the board.
Good Luck! |
