I have a sony CDX M800 headunit and the faceplate wont close properly.
The motor turns the gears are free and the sensing switch is working.
I changed the faceplate cable (broken) and now the unit does not open close properly.
With the front off the mechanism and the motor free running it gets to the end of it's track and then hunts in 1 second cycles and the display goes blank.
Removing the connector stops the motor and the display comes active again.
I can not stop the motor hunting and it is driving me nuts.
Is there anyone out there that has the answer?
