I have a Philips plasma 37PF9965 (with and E-box FTR9965), and was working fine until one day turned it on and the green power indicator turns to red and starts flashing. Any help?

The unit is going into failsafe mode, The power supply board has failed or the highvoltage board is falty, the only options i can give you is replace the main power supply board. Board level repair in plasmas is sometimes to costly and very unperdictable results as reguard to a service center, My recommendition is replace the Main PS..

I've got one of these too and it's just packed up again for the third time with the same fault. Had it just over 2.5 years, every fix by Anovo takes 1 month and the last fix worked for 3 weeks. Is this a common problem and can it be fixed permanently? Crying or Very sad

My TV and Media E-box is currently with a repair agent who has found a power supply fault in the E-box. Apparently Philips don't supply the power supply board anymore and therefore the repair is taking place at component level.

As far as the fault taking place... the repair agent advises me that this fault can take place when there is an increase in the level of power/current voltage to the TV.

Did Anovo advise the same thing? What steps have you been advised to take in order to minimise such re-occurences? Your thoughts and views are appreciated, please help?

Further news: my 37PF9965 has been written off as Philips can't supply parts anymore. I am insured, and considering the LG 42PX4R... what do you think. Does anybody have this Plasma?

Many Thanks
