Magnavox 32" TV model TP3272 C101 Chassis 32R502-00AA. When I plug the tv in it makes a continueous clicking sound. Cant turn TV on. No picture, No sound.

Any clues to what the problem is?

Hi,

Sounds like a high voltage short to me.

Usually the HOT (horizontal output transistor) is damaged as a result.

Your set is doing the power cycling (ie. it tries to power up -> kick into protect mode because of a short -> power off -> power up again...) that's why u hear the clicking noise.

I recommend u seek pro help if u r not confident to fix high voltage faults. Smile

If you pull the collector of the HOT and it stops, check D502 for short.

Just did one of those this week
