|
|
I have a 27" JVC TV that is about 15 years old and has never had a problem until the other day. The screen is black with a thin white line running horizontal across the screen. Sound works fine. When you turn it on, it seems to work but the picture begins to shrink from top and bottom until I am left with the line. If I push on the back panel, it seems to restore the picture, but shrinks back to the line over time (sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes 1 hour). Any suggestions on what needs fixed/replaced and a cost? Not sure if I should "put her down" and buy a new one. |

You do not need to bye another TV due such fault. All you must to do, is to call a technician( if you are not one) and ask him to resolder the frame
integrate circuit that has dry joints. Price? Some few [ |

Replace the verticle ic and the capacitors around it. A model # would help. |

Check D422 to see if it's shorted. Also check D421. It may check good. Change C428, also check .1 cap etc off pin 2. |

D422 was the problem and replaced it with a high wattage (1Watt instead of 1/2 Watt)
Now off to figure out whats with the static in the audio stream when using CABLE ... RCA audio is fine |
