Hello i found a couple of dry joints in my palsonic tv. when i tried to resolder the joint my new solder "sucked off" the existing solder leaving no solder around the tag at all. have you seen this before and how do i resolder the joint

CLEAN JOINT AREA WITH A FIBRE PEN, AVAILABLE FROM GOOD HOBBY ELECTRONIC SHOPS, APPLY LIQUID FLUX, PREFERABLY NOT A WATER BASED ONE, AND ALL SHOULD BE WELL

YES,
the lead and pcb are burnt, corroded by being a bad connection, solder just runs off it!
Clean the Metal, scrape clean with a knife if you have to! when the metal is clean it will solder.
Tip! in desperation, if all else fails, Aluminum solder, with special flux will solder where others fail.
