Sony Grand Wega KDF50WE655.(rear projection lcd)
Bought 02/28/05(about a month out of warranty)
TV stopped working today(No picture,No sound) and is makeing a buzzing cracklings sound.
It goes buzzz crackle cracklecrackle(thats the best I can discribe it) then stops for about 30 seconds and starts again.
I pulled the rear cover off and If your looking at the back of the TV.towards the bottom ,theres a board there, and the noise is comeing from a 1/4" cylinder shaped shaped relay(?) Transformer? Dioide(?). that has the number 800 on it.
When it does the crackling sound it looks like theres' sparks or it's glowing from the inside of it .
Can anyone tell me what that piticular part is?
Have you heard of this before?
What can I do? Can I find one at an electronic store and sodier it on?
Thanks for any help

the # on the board right under the diode is FS1
