you need to remove hyper module and replace a bunch of capacitors.it is located in a shielded box just in front of input board.mpu014 or mpu015. |

Screw that, Toshiba has got them back in stock! All three, 13, 14, and 15's. The caps Cory is referring to are the 10uf@16vdc caps. 11 total. I don't use surface mounts, I cut down the regular caps like on the Mitts pip fix. |

The metal box behind the jack pack. It will tell you if it's a 13 or 14. |

I've got the exact same problem on my 50H82. I removed the hyper module last night and am about to go through capacitance testing.
On my model t.v. the hyper module is the one that looks like the little electronic apartment building below. MVPU14. Not sure if yours is laid out the same way, but it probably is.

Hey I know it's been, like, 2 years but maybe someone's till around. I am following Sarcasmo's lead, pulling out the Hyper Module.
How can I get the board out? I see Sarcasmo has pulled the main board out with the hyper module attached. I can't seem to get the main board to come off the base. I've removed every screw I can find but it won't come out.
I thought maybe it might pivot out along one edge - left or right, but there are three edge connectors along the left side and two places along the right side where the chassis grips the PC board. One of those two edges has to be disconnected to remove the main board. Ideas? |
