have a Samsung HCP4752W Rear Projection TV (Chasis P59A) The colors are blurred and I have two semi circles at the top and bottom of the screen, so reading all of the other posts I beleive I have a convergence problem. I have replaced the STKs but the problem remained. Has anyone got any ideas? |

Check the 3.9ohm and 150ohm resistors around the STKs. These values need to be spot on. You'll have to disconnect one side to measure as they are in parallel pairs.
Also there is a fusible link feeding each stk. Check them for open circuit. |

Also check the 3.5 amp pico fuses under the heat sinks. |

Thanks for the info - I have found the 3.9 ohm resistors but I am unable to locate the pico fuses could you explain what they look like? |

The line on a blue screen looks black and runs vertical in the centre of the screen. When a TV Channel is selected the line turns into red green and blue and looks like the screen has been drawn on using whiteboard markers/pens. There is also a green V-shape to the left of the line. Could it be the replacement 3.9 ohm resitors or ICs? There is nothing on the rear of the screen, lens or mirror so I am really stuck now has anyone heard of this before or got any ideas on what is causing this? |
