LG VCR Problem

G'day All, I have a LG VCR model GC990W which is 2 yrs old. Turned it on the other nite and got no picture or sound.

Its connected to TV via AV. Cables all plugged in and I cross-checked them on DVD and they work fine. I also tuned VCR to TV via RF cable (was able to get test picture). But still no picture or sound. I can still "change" channels and "play" video but no picture or sound. TV works fine in its own right.

Has anyone come across problem like this before??
