My JVC TV model 2155 EM went dead.I found SMPS IC STR 455 faulty and no 110 V output. I replaced but it was desrtoyed again. Have checked all components in circuit and found OK. Can anyone tell me if LOT or line output stage can cause this fault? If not what could be the problem.

Looks like pin 1 of IC01 has 157/312v, pin 2 is fused by F02 1 amp 110v line, see if F02 is open.

Thks for reply. F02 is ok. The fuse protects the IC, but a blown fuse would not destroy the IC.
I have compared the internal resistance between pins of defective IC with a new one one. They are totally different.

you are absolutily wrong fuses are there to procted not the IC but to protect burn out the unit.. no fuse ever blow at what it is rated for. no way. And you probing the input of any chips cause more damage then good. most meter hi range have 9v most IC have 5 vcc . and some conponents can be blown or damaged by your method if it is a method. i BLOWN FUSE ANY FUSE MEANS BIG PROBLEM somewhere else then the IC
