My samsung 753s monitor's led won't light up at all.On disconnecting the vga cable there's no self test as well..appears dead. But when connected to the pc and after 5mins or so,when the monitor's on-off switch is toggled a couple of times it comes on and works perfectly.Even on restarting it works fine, but after powering off the problem repeats.
Plz help me diagnose the problem.Which section should I suspect and start checking?

Very common with these, I posted for help a week ago and got no replies. The story is that the inverter board is going bad, but I can't say for sure.

Try checking the switch for consistency first. make sure the ac cord is connected securely. If not this means that the power supply is getting old. Try replacing some of the capacitors in the area surrounding the chopper transformer. if these are old it will not work properly and the supply will not oscillate. Also check for dry or cracked solder points.
