Does anyone have a service manual for the tube, iirc it is the same one that was used in the 19" lacie electron. |

A common cause for vertical scan faults in monitors is bad solder joints on the scan coils PCB. In particular, if solder lugs are riveted to the PCB and the sharp edges of the rivet heads cut through the copper foil, there can be nasty intermittent contacts that are not so easy to see at first instance.
A definite sign of that the vertical scan coil has gone open circuit is if, when you check the voltage at each end of it with an oscilloscope, you find a square wave of about 30 V p-p at one end and zero at the other end. |
