I have an HP 7540 monitor which switches on with a green led but it does not show anything. Even if i remove it from a computers VGA card the light on the led light remains green what could be the problem |

Well, if you unplug the cable, the screen is likely displaying "No input" (how counterintuitive). So it'll still stay green
If you turn the PC off (hit the power button, it should turn off - or at least go into standby - in a few seconds), it should turn orange. If you turn it back on, and the light goes green, does the screen flash on for a split second? If so, it's likely a capacitors issue, just like pretty much every other LCD on the market... |

If your monitor is not connected properly with cpu then it will show that signal not available and still green light will display. |
