option codes for the tv are on a sticker on the crt, if not there you must also post the slash number of the set ie 25PT5307/?? as this gives details of the sets destination and in some cases the chassis type. there will be 2 numbers and possibly a letter.

Maybe you can tell about options code in general? What kind of features Op1-Op7 options control?

the option codes set the parameters within the set ie how many scrarts it has, the type of tuner, whether or not it is nicam, what audio process ic is fitted and much much more, inputting incorrect codes can result in a totally inoperative set so it is best to try and get a valid set from another known good working tv. the option codes are model dependent and must be the correct ones, this set is very prone to switching itself off when screen voltage is set incorrectly, it only needs to be a fraction off and the set up procedure often takes longer than the set will remain on for, i really dislike working on them.

For example. Which of Options sets the Front In?
