Hi all,
this is my first post so i hope i've posted in the right place. My brother has a Toshiba satellite L755D-10V and has locked himself out via the BIOS password. Yes, he's forgotten it.
My question is, can the BIOS password be reset by a method other than removing the CMOS battery?
I've been told two different things by two different I.T. professionals. One said that he would need to contact Toshiba directly and the other that he can short out the jumpers to get into the BIOS.
I've tried to find the jumpers short of stripping the laptop down but don't want to void any warranty by doing so.
Can anyone give me a definitive answer on this and if the BIOS password can be reset/removed by shorting the jumpers, where exactly are they on this model?
Many thanks in advance, |
