Problem with Blaupunkt Car Audio

Hello all,

I have a problem with my car stereo. It's a blaupunkt car stereo for Suzuki Ignis.



The front says Blaupunkt, but the metal case in the back says it's manufactured by Bosch.

A week ago, while the stereo was on, I would hear at random times from the speakers a snap sound, like when you cutoff the power abruptly. The stereo would not turn on again for some time. This was repeated for a few times , but now the stereo will not turn on any more.

All I can hear is the cd player trying to spin, but nothing else working (eject button doesn't work either). I opened it up, removed the cdplayer module, in case it the problem was there, but it still doesn't work.
I checked the inside for bad/leaking capacitors, but everything looks fine.

Any suggestions on what to check next?
