Matsui tv/vcr remote control problems

I hope someone can help, the remote control has stopped working on one of our TV's i have tested the same control on another matsui TV and it works fine the TV i am having a problem with as a key code which can only be entered via the remote control, i am thinking the remote has somehow?? lost the signal to the tv is there anything that can be done.
