Hello Group,
Does anybody have a good substitute for the horizontal output transistor for a Zenith SL3528BG? It's a very large tube, probably 32", but can I safely use any strong device from an old computer monitor?
Thanks

Usually no.
Most units are designed to meet certain tolerances and I am sure monitors have very tight tolerances. Purchasing from the manufacturer would be your best option.
I have heard of someone who uses a big transistor on a very big heasink for testing purposes only. |
