Hi there !

One of my best friend gives me this old K7 receiver.
I've an old Renault 21 and I want to mount this unit in, it's a perfect style match !

But the unit is code locked, and it seems the code can be "user chosen".

I've not even try to power it at all, all the wires are cut in the back.
I'm downloading the service manual (Can I upload it here ?)

The only label I have
Sepc Number : XB:EB
Serial Number : JD10514

How can I unlock the thing ?

Thank a lot in advance.

Hi. You need to read EEPROM (PDG011 = PDG6011 ) to find the code. if You can't read, you should contact the local center for reading EEPROM

Thank's for your answer.
I was afraid by that kind of answer...

If i can read the EEPROM, the code will be readable in the dump file or will it be crypted ?

Thank's again !

Hi again !

Is there any way to decrypt it ?
Read the EEPROM won't be easy though not impossible but if it is useless...
Or can i fill it with ZEROs (or fit a new or empty one)?

Yop !
I've tried to power it up after brain storming in retrieve the back connectors pinout.

It seems to work but sadly, the unit is "user coded" ("0000" did not work)
There is a "1324" hand-writen inside but no luck....

Now the unit is stuck for the second time of the day during 3 hours with no possibility to do anything ("Err" on display) !

Is there something I can do to get the code, or get rid of it ?

Thank's again in advance !
