Onky DV-CP500 Changer Carosel won't turn

I have a problem with my Onky DVD changer. The carosel SOMETIMES will not turn unless I manually turn it about a half turn (at which point it works fine for a while). Sometimes it stops working while the carosel is closed and when I take the cover off I find that the disc is mis-aligned. Often if I wait long enough (15 min) the problem corrects itself. I think the motor may be binding up, but I don't know how to fix it and don't have a repair facility nearby. Any suggestions?
