Bought a car without the radio but the seller gave me a Peugeot radio and said it would fit. it does apart from the continual bleeping! Do I need a Peugeot or a citroen code?

It sounds as if it is a 'vin coded radio ' i.e it is recognised by the immobiliser system in the original vehicle it was fitted to , in which case it needs the new
vehicle details to be programmed into it , I'm not sure if the main dealer will do this , if not a competent decoding service should be able to help .
