I believe this is a vin coded radio , it is linked to the imobiliser system in the original fitment vehicle , if you have replaced the original unit the new/second hand unit will need to be programmed to the vehicle , main dealer or specialist decoder . |

Hi, Can it be unlinked from the immobilizer? This is the original stereo that came with the car. I was going to replace it with a bluetooth featured stereo, but wanted to use my steering wheel controls still. Halfords said it would need decoding otherwise it will just stop working.
So if i buy a new one can it be used, if it gets programmed to the car?
Thanks for replying
