Does the philips car cd player works without his external display?

I got another answer! they tell me that player CAN work without it but
it must be bypassed!
can you check that for me please?

give me exact type xx dc xxxx or xx rc xxx
i wil se if there is an option to program (need to have eeprom programmer) the set to play without code and display.
