Lg/goldstar flip down monitor wiring

I purchased a lg/goldstar flip down monitor from a yardsale. model # LCO56N1. The wires are red, orange, black, purple, and a yellow and black wire twisted together, and I am pretty sure those two are the video. I can get the back light to light up but when i hook it to a video signal nothing happens. What I am wondering is if there is some kind of controller missing or any other component that is still needed. I am not sure of the original vehicle it came out of.
