Hey guys,
I'll be honest, when it comes to electronics, I'm lost. But I'm really hoping to fix my cd player...
A few days ago, my Panasonic Shockwave portable CD player fell off of my bed and crashed onto the ground. I've dropped it before, but this was an especially bad tumble. Anyway, since then, I can hardly use it. It recongizes the cd, but has a hard time playing it -- sometimes it won't play a track at all, other times it skips like crazy, and there is always a terrible clicking sound.
On examing it, the problem seems to be the balance of the spinning cd. It doesn't have smooth motion, more wonky, like a bent bicycle wheel (just slightly though).
Anyway, where would you start? I can't part with this gal -- I've probably had her for 8 or 9 years. Do you think I can fiddle around and fix it myself?
Thanks! |
