Variable power (DC) from discarded Television w FlybackCan?

Would a Good Sam advise me.I get confused,lack of experience and a simple walk through.Iam thinking remove PS after capacitors ,200vdc,then connecting the base drive transformer,with resistor(step down trans/with 555 added) ,connecting HOT & FB.(diodes snubbers,Caps,output HV resistor). Jeff says Thank you for your time and input .OH ,how can it be made to vary the DC .
